Kevin Lewis was born and raised on the Westside of Chicago, IL. He attended Roosevelt High School, where he played basketball and was on the track team all four years. After graduating, he went to Junior College in Centrailia, IL. After College, he then moved to Lincoln, NE. Becoming home sick after a short period of time, Kevin relocated back to Chicago where he began working for his cousin, Dennis Muhummad, CEO of Muhummad Ali Co. Two years passed and the contract for his job ended and he decided to give Lincoln, NE another try. Kevin started a family in Lincoln, and made it his permanent home. After working a few jobs here and there, Kevin decided it was time to branch out and explore his interest in the entertainment indusrty. He decided on starting a promotional company to entertain family and friends in Lincoln, who frequently complained of lack of adult activities and entertainent. He enlisted the help of family member, Curtis "DJ Green" Westbrooks to become his business partner and explore this opportunity. They met several times, discussing the ins and outs and where they wanted their company to go in this industry. They soon came up with the name Buck Fifty Productions. Most events, are based on themes from music, fashion, and even movies. They work hard at providing the ultimate party experience to their customers. With success in the forecast, Kevin is also pursuing another passion. Providing several community based services and events, such as fundraisers and mentoring for young adults, in addition to extending their promoting and event planning services to the public. Curtis "DJ Green" Westbrooks was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He attended and graduated from Simeon Vocational High School. Curtis spent the first 23 years of his life in Chicago. During this time became a father of two wonderful sons. In September of 2001, Curtis went to visit relatives in Lincoln, NE. During his vacation, he began to reevaluate his life and decided it was time for a fresh start, making Lincoln, NE his permanent home. After living in Lincoln for a year, he met and befriended a well known DJ by the name of DJ XL, Lawrence Chatters, who took a liking to Curtis and began to teach him the art of being a successful DJ. Curtis was given the opportunity to show off his skills and was known as "DJ Press Play". Thats because thats all he knew how to do at the time. After a few trips to Fremont, NE. with DJ XL, and learning more and practicing, he earned a new name, DJ Green. Curtis was very proud of his accomplishment and made being a DJ a Fulltime profession. DJ Green became a known source for DJing as he showed up and showed out at several bars around Lincoln, as well as Fort Dodge, Fremont, Grand Island and Omaha. Curtis was very pleased with his progress and was eager to move forward in his career, but God changed his course. In 2005, Curtis met, Shawna Hawkins, who became the love of his life. In 2007, she became Mrs. Westbrooks and shortly after, gave birth to two beautiful daughters. With the motivation of his wife, family and friends, and his determination Curtis collaborated with Kevin Lewis to create a promotional company geared toward the party scene. Curtis and Kevin worked together and Buck Fifty productions was born. Their goal to provide the highest quality in entertainment services in Lincoln was met, and then some. With success visible, Curtis is ready to explore other avenues of interest. Providing community based events and support has always been a goal and now it is possible.
